Owner & Photographer; Angel Asbell is an internationally published and self-taught portrait and fashion photographer based in the Chicagoland area. Her philosophy lies in the unique stories every person and every place has. Her desire is to tell these stories with the help of the inspiration that sparks in her from gravitating to abandoned locations, forgotten places, and unique environments.
Proving to be a driven individual, Angel has shaped her style to be bold, bright, and colorful with an edge as unique and creative as she is. Throughout her life, she has enjoyed delving into the photography world. Her passion grew tremendously when her daughter was born. The birth of her daughter helped open her eyes to how important photographs are for capturing the brilliant phases of her children's lives as well as the lives of others. The moments she began to capture were moments she realized she would never be able to step back into, but she could look back on the photographs to treasure the moments for a lifetime. This lesson was truly reinforced with the sudden passing and tragic lost in the family. The time spent preparing for the funeral further opened her eyes to how incredibly short life was and how once we are gone, what we did in our lives is all we have left. Photographs leave a legacy for those we leave after we are gone and help to preserve the memories that will one day be so incredibly cherished by future generations.
Angel strives to bring every ounce of creativity to every session and has been diving into primping her creative side her entire life. Outside of photography, she has an extensive background in multiple forms of dance, including both competition dance and teaching. Also several years in DHH special needs teaching program and currently also a Chicago Licensed leasing agent and getting her broker license. She received her degree in Fashion Merchandising utilizing the skills she gained to bring style and a new level to her photo sessions. For eight years, Angel also worked as an event planner to design, create, and bring to life the perfect events for her clients.
Everything she has learned throughout these endeavors brings a new level of grace, style, and completeness to every session she takes on. She strives to make sure no aspect is left untouched in every session from posing to outfits, from location to set design. Angel throws all of herself into every session in order to tell the story that is yearning to be told.
